Emily Silverman is a senior researcher at the Center for Urban and Regional Studies, the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where she heads a new Planning with Community Lab. Her research interests are housing policy, urban regeneration, and social planning. Emily brings an applied policy approach to her research, and she frequently collaborates with civil society and social change organizations. Emily has nearly twenty years experience as a community organizer and consultant with civil society organizations. As an academic she aspires to help students use the tools of planning to make the world a better place.
